Oniros Residenza Vecchia Panaretos is nestled in a quiet alley within the "Platia Rouga" neighborhood, a historic street named after the 19th-century "Rouga" bakery. Directly opposite stands the Church of Agia Irini, a significant historic church in the heart of the district, known for its distinctive architecture and prominent location. Built during the Venetian era, it served as the Bishop’s residence when the Saints Anargyroi Church was the city’s cathedral. During the Ottoman rule, the building was part of the Turkish quarter, centered around the 1821 Square. This historic structure retains its original stone doorways and the arched balcony door with intricate carved corbels.
